Na maioria das revistas, principalmente as dos universos Marvel e DC, que s\u00e3o as mais vendidas, s\u00f3 existiram heterossexuais durante muito tempo. Na d\u00e9cada de 50, o \u201cpsic\u00f3logo\u201d Frederick Wertham escreveu o relat\u00f3rio A Sedu\u00e7\u00e3o dos Inocentes, que teve consequ\u00eancias desastrosas.<\/p>\n
Nessa obra ele mostrava todos os supostos danos que os quadrinhos provocavam nos jovens. Todos os medos do americano m\u00e9dio da \u00e9poca estavam l\u00e1. Al\u00e9m de incentivar o comunismo, a maioria dos her\u00f3is eram maus exemplos por incentivar condutas sexuais question\u00e1veis. O relat\u00f3rio foi levado ao Senado americano, que discutiu o assunto. Para evitar a fal\u00eancia, as empresas de quadrinhos criaram um c\u00f3digo de censura interno que, dentre outras conseq\u00fc\u00eancias, matou o menino-prod\u00edgio. Apesar das alega\u00e7\u00f5es de Wertham serem em sua maior parte infundadas, o c\u00f3digo ajudou a manter os her\u00f3is dentro do arm\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n
Cinq\u00fcenta anos depois, a situa\u00e7\u00e3o vem mudando. O segundo n\u00famero da revista Mundo Super Her\u00f3is<\/span> (Editora Europa, 10\/2006, r$9,90) traz uma mat\u00e9ria de duas p\u00e1ginas sobre super her\u00f3is gays. O autor usa o termo genericamente, pois tamb\u00e9m traz alguns her\u00f3is bissexuais e hero\u00ednas l\u00e9sbicas. Talvez at\u00e9 pan, considerando o alien\u00edgena Starman.<\/p>\nEntre os mais famosos temos John Contastine, que se declarou bissexual na edi\u00e7\u00e3o 51 da revista Hellblazer. Na conservadora Marvel, a revista Jovens Vingadores<\/span>, ainda em seus primeiros n\u00fameros, \u00e9 a primeira a trazer dois protagonistas gays em rela\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1vel. \nThe comics have always been controversial when it leads to characters with non-hetero orientation. In most magazines, especially those universes of Marvel and DC, who are the most sold, only heterosexual existed for a long time.
